Since 2022

It does not sound very cool yet, or even ridiculous. It is definitely not as catching as from a business that has been out there since the mid of last century, or even in some cases established (est) from XIX century.

But we will get there. Well, our offspring (professionally speaking, or who knows, even familiarly speaking) will hopefully get there. That is part of the game; to create something that is sustainable over time, with the essentials and principles transferred in between the people that is participating in the business, directly or indirectly. The business culture and identity, as it should be properly named. All in all, let’s call it also legacy.

Going too deep for a moment, but coming back to reality, it is still reason to celebrate that ZenoTalent is celebrating its first anniversary. Time flies and we become one year young.

It is always difficult to define when a business really starts. Actually there is a lot of thinking that comes to one or a couple of minds before any start. Though to apply simple logic, it should just come to a/one mind and then of course can be shaped up in between a few people, max two or three typically.

A lot of ideation, whiteboard drafting, paper and pencil, note-taking, spontaneous insights back and forward and the cycle all over again. That is a fun part. There are no fences to the field and imagination and creativity are present at their maximal expression. This is called divergence in the Design Thinking methodology, for early stages of business creation. And that process may take months.

Subsequently, then you have to converge all of those ideas into a business model, a value proposition and in the end a presentation card to your playground: clients/customers, suppliers, partners and others. Everything needs to be worked out because every detail matters and may decide if there is business or not.

However, let’s be realistic, it is not possible to anticipate everything and you will have to iterate anyway, listening carefully to the feedback you receive, and be willing to adapt, in order to progress. It will happen regardless how well prepared and experienced you are and all the effort you may put into foreseeing all potential scenarios. Flexibility is key for business and to navigate through changing dynamics.

In the end, since we are in the digital era where Internet and Social Media are essential aspects of our lives (in the meantime Artificial Intelligence is not taking over, as it may be) those cannot be better references to define a business birth.

Accordingly, looking to the archive, our ZenoTalent website (www.zeno-talent.com) was launched by the end of November 2022. And as a right next step, published in LinkedIn network by 30th of that month; one year ago precisely. Therefore, it may make sense to consider that day as the one when ZenoTalent became visible to the World, or well, at least to the public, in order to be a bit more humble... In any case, Happy Birthday!

It has been a year full of very different and interesting insights. A lot of people (candidates) evaluated, a lot of companies (employers) contacted, a lot of interviews, a lot of business opportunities in multiple directions, a lot of challenges…; a lot of work. It is very rewarding to see the added value of helping good candidates move into next career steps and therefore help employers satisfy their employment needs.

And also very important to us, all of that is being executed in the meantime the satisfaction index we receive as feedback is high. Talking here specially about candidates, since we have a candidate-centred approach. Proper communication, close care and proportional feedback (to the interest and investment of the candidate) are essential aspects of our business model.

UX (User Experience) has been converted into CX (Candidate Experience), as we like to define the concept. It is important to remind that we are Engineers, and we have been in the other side, so we are fully aware of the typical disappointment related to some application processes. Empathy is a must.

The first season has been intense and fascinating, though the next one appears to be even more thrilling, with a lot of growth opportunities knocking at the door. Are our ready? We are, we go for it.
